I'm grateful for the life that I have lived up to this point through the love and grace of God. I gave God my 20s and I intend on giving him my 30s. There have been times where my life could have taken a serious turn for the worst, but because I sought to do what God wanted me to do instead of what I wanted to do my life has become a beautiful experience. I seek God's council, obey His word, and listen to His guidance and because of that, I am com pletely satisfied with my life. I've had hard times, but that's life. Everyone has hard times. What makes my life so wonderful is that I am pleasing God and His love has been more than what I deserve.

I've learned and continue to learn that if we love God the way that he wants to be loved, He reciprocates that in manifold ways. Being saved is truly about developing a relationship with God. I treat it as such. If I love God with all of my heart (a perfect/complete love) I will do everything I can to please Him including ceasing from sin. For example, if you're married to your spouse or are in a relationship with someone, it wouldn't be acceptable to cheat on them with someone else or treat them disrespectfully. It wouldn't be acceptable for you to never talk to them. It wouldn't be acceptable to only speak to them when you want something. At some point they'll begin feeling like you don't love . The same can be said of God with us. If we treat God with the love that He requests from us... it opens up a WORLD of blessings spritually and naturally. You feel like a complete person. Life has brand new meaning.
My suggestion...love God with ALL of your heart and never cheat on Him. I promise your life will never be the same.

Life is a great gift!! There are so many wonderful things that we can experience: love, marriage, children, traveling the world, new cars, new houses, dream job, finding yourself, finally being comfortable and satisfied with who you are, and more! However, life doesn’t always go like we planned; and we may not get to experience those things we feel will make us happy and complete. We think we have this thing called life all figured out and that everything will go according to our timeline, but God is the author of our lives. He holds the pen in His hand. We must submit ourselves to His will and just say yes to His plans.
I will be the first to admit that there are times when life can get us down. We may get sick, lose our job, lose a loved one, or it could be that we’re waiting for marriage, children, waiting for that dream job, or for life to finally give us that break that we think will fix everything for us.
What happens when we don’t get the one thing we feel we need? What happens if we stay sick? Can’t find a job? Never get married? Never have children? Think about it carefully. What will you do if nothing changes when you feel it should?
God knows we’re human because He made us. He knows we feel a range of emotions from ecstatic to depressed and everything in between. We don’t have to hide our emotions from God. He won’t misunderstand or judge us for how we feel. He welcomes us to pour out our hearts to him.
Crying or feeling sad or depressed doesn’t mean we don’t trust God; it means we’re human. I'm reminded of a passage of scripture in I Kings 19:1-14, Elijah the prophet was depressed and asked God if he could die. God didn't beat him down and say, "How could you think this way, get up and just trust me". You know what God did? He sent an angel to give him food and water. The second time the angel came he said, "Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee". He wanted him to get rest and get strength for the future. Elijah was in that state for about 40 days and 40 nights. God allowed him to be human.
Being saved doesn't take away our human feelings. Yes, we should trust God; but there are times God allows us to have human feelings and grieve what we thought our lives would be. After we grieve for a while, he'll ask us just like he did with Elijah in verse 9 "What doest thou here?"
So, to whomever is reading this please know that having human feelings doesn't mean you don't believe and trust God. It just means that you're having an Elijah moment. The beautiful thing about being saved is that as we have these human feelings, we also know that just because something hasn't happened doesn't mean that God can't do it. Sometimes we have to struggle through some things until we get our breakthrough; but that doesn't mean we're any less saved or that we don't trust God. I'm thankful God allows us to be human at times. His strength is perfect when our strength is gone, he'll carry us when we can't carry on.
It's ok to have a vision and a plan for your life, but just be flexible and know that God has the final say. When our attitude is Lord, have your way in my life, it’ll get a little easier (emphasis on a little…lol) Practice makes perfect right? Buckle up your seatbelt, put your hands up, scream if it helps, and just ride this roller-coaster of life.
I hope this encourages you.
